Naturalist Michael Machiano will lead a group of ten on an guided hike to observe local tarantulas as they look for love on the mountain. You’ll learn about the why these misunderstood arachnids are called “the Gentle Giants of Mount Diablo” and experience a close encounter with these fascinating and harmless spiders and learn about where they live, what they eat, their mating habits, and much more.

Open Space Conservation Super-Duo, spouses Robert Doyle and Tina Batt, will lead an intimate lunchtime tour of Vasco Caves Regional Preserve-  a very special location that can only be accessed by guided tour.  Lunch will be included.
